Our Ivanhowe has been set for the 2015 Melbourne Cup this season and will make his racing return in the 2015 Naturalism Stakes from the wide and awkward barrier 16 with a race-high 60kgs.

Beginning his racing career abroad in Europe, Our Ivanhowe posted several impressive results in 2015; winning each of the Group 1 Grosser Preis Von Baden (2413m) and Group 1 Pastorius (2414m) most notably before placing a credible 6th amongst some of the world’s best stayers in the Group 1 Japan Cup (2400m).

Lee Freedman has been thrilled with the work produced and class displayed by Our Ivanhowe in recent weeks and has confirmed Ben Melham will take the ride on Saturday.

Sertorius has been the stable star for Jamie Edwards through a long but impressive racing career so far and should relish a step-up to 2000m for the 2015 Naturalism Stakes.

Returning in autumn for a close second in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m) before taking out the Group 3 Easter Cup (2000m), the Galileo gelding clearly needed the run when tenth in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) first-up this time.

Allocated the central barrier 9, Sertorius will be partnered by last-start hoop Ryan Moloney in the 2015 Naturalism Stakes.

David Hayes and Tom Dabernig are set to launch a two-pronged attack on the 2015 Naturalism Stakes after confirming both Almoonqith and Bold Sniper in the final field.

Beginning his racing career in France, Almoonqith was settled in the middle-east for his 2014 racing campaign and posted several standout results.

Winning the Al Naboodah Trophy (1800m) most notably in his first preparation, the Dynaformer entire returned this year for success in the Al Maktoum City (1600m) before beating a talented field to the line in the Group 3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy (2810m) most notably in February.

Having contested two starts in Australia already this season, Almoonqith should be finding peak condition leading into the Naturalism Stakes.

A strong and consistent performer for Sir Michael Stoute before being transferred to Lindsay Park prior to the 2015 calendar, Bold Sniper is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from a debut run for eighth in the Listed Heatherlie Stakes (1700m) on August 29th.

Up-and-coming hop Chris Parnham will take the ride on Bold Sniper in the Naturalism Stakes, who will need some luck in transit from barrier 11.
