2011 Naturalism Stakes Betting & Odds

September 16th, 2011

If Race 8 at Caulfield tomorrow is anything like the 2011 Naturalism Stakes betting race then the owners of December Draw may as well collect their prize money now.

He’s the only one they’ve wanted ever since the final field announcement was made and even with a conservative opening by the bookmakers it was enough for it to be crunched.

In fact the best odds in Australia were the $1.80 fixed price odds offered by Luxbet and they are already in to $1.75 under a flurry of betting.

That’s sent a few of the long shots out even further with only a handful of dollars coming in for any of the runners at bigger odds.

To not dismiss them completely though these are the horses that have had some support, however minor, since the Naturalism Stakes markets opened.

Herculian Prince started off at $26, that’s now in to $21 fixed price.

A little tighter Once Were Wild was $21 into $19, that drifted back to the opening quote but has since come in again to $19.

By the trainers words Black And Bent isn’t ready to win tomorrow but at least a few people aren’t listening, he’s $31 now into $26.

My Bentley may have followed a very different path on the track but in the markets he’s an exact replica of Black And Bent’s movements at $26.

On the other end of the scale Light Vision is the drifter from $17 now out to $26.

Anudjawun is similar given a chance at first at $13 but few takers have seen that push out to $17.

These odds are courtesy of online bookmaker Luxbet where you’ll find better than TAB odds on every single race of the 2011 Spring Carnival.
